Originally founded by James and Jeannie David, our journey began with a vision rooted in the bustling streets of downtown Baton Rouge. Inspired by our family’s heritage and the beloved “Ragusa’s” store on Terrace Street, we embarked on a mission to bring quality service and products to our neighbors.

Today, the legacy continues as James and Jeannie’s son, Craig, along with his wife Dara and their son Brandt David, proudly carry the torch forward. With a commitment to excellence ingrained in our DNA, we remain dedicated to serving our community through every season, rain or shine. This place located at a service station. They serve their food cafeteria style and it is plentiful and reasonably priced. You place your order, it is then place in a styrofoam container in the order that it chosen. You get in line until your order reaches the cash register. Pay and select a table or take it to go. I had smoked chicken the was wonderful The sides of corn and baked beans were very good. There is absolutely nothing fancy about this place but the food is good and it is very popular.

Due to handicaps, I don’t cook much anymore so started going to David’s Tiger Express for lunch at least once a week. The food is always fresh, lots of choices along with lunch menu every day. The staff is so helpful sometimes bringing my order to the car for me on those days when not feeling 100%. They are very professional and an awesome crew. Please give them a try, I think you’ll be delighted to do business with such a caring business in our community.
